Block Therapy Academy Testimonials

I love what I do, I am always inspired to design my classes for the upcoming week. I wake up looking forward to what I'm doing that day. It's also great to just get to do something healthy for your body and mind every day and call it "your work"!

I have learned so much since joining BTA but the thing that impacted me the most and continues to is the community and support of Deanna, Quinn and the incredible group of other instructors and therapists, and practitioners. There is just no other practice or certification where you have a constant source to mentor from, to keep learning without judgement. It's hard to do something completely new you don't know anything about. I can't see how I would have done this without all the support.

Joining BTA may challenge you to do something out of your comfort zone, but that will be the greatest gift to yourself! You get to learn about your own body, practice your mind-body connection and learn how to teach others.

FAQs

Who can join the Block Therapy Instructor Training?

No prerequisites are required. This program is open to anyone eager to teach and share Block Therapy in their community, whether in group classes and one-on-one sessions.

What is the difference between the Instructor and Bodyworker Certifications?

The Instructor Certification prepares you to teach and guide others in practicing Block Therapy through classes, workshops, or one-on-one instruction. The Bodyworker Certification is designed for bodywork practitioners and focuses on applying the hands-on work with clients in a therapeutic setting.

The Instructor Certification is open to anyone, while the Bodyworker Certification is limited to licensed hands-on practitioners who hold a current professional license.

Both certifications are grounded in the same foundational principles of fascia decompression, but each prepares you for a distinct role in how the work is applied and shared.

What are my payment options?

In addition to the full payment, we also have a 12-month payment plan. You can select this plan as a payment option when you register.

Will I have access to any course materials as soon as I register?

Yes. Once you register, you’ll receive immediate access to the pre-recorded training modules and the private BTA community group. Replays of the live classes will be added to your course portal shortly after each session takes place, so you can review them at your own pace.

How long does it take to become certified?

The live training portion of the program spans 3 months, with live online classes and interactive support. After this, you’ll have up to an additional 3 months to complete your certification. All participants must submit their final certification evaluation within 6 months of their cohort start date.

How much time will I need to dedicate each week?

The required commitment is reviewing the modules, attending/reviewing the live online classes and practicing teaching with family and friends. The time you spend is entirely up to you. Everyone’s journey through certification is unique, and we encourage you to move at a pace that feels right for you.

How is the training delivered?

The Instructor Certification is a blended program that combines pre-recorded training modules and live online classes via Zoom. Replays will be available in your course portal shortly after each session takes place, so you can review them at your own pace, if you can’t attend live. You’ll also have access to the private BTA community for ongoing support and connection.

What is the schedule for the live sessions?

Live Training Calls with Quinn & Kata (12:00 - 1:30 PM CDT)

April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18, June 1, June 15 and June 22

Is it mandatory to attend all the live online classes?

While attending live is encouraged for the best interactive experience, it’s not required. Replays of each session will be added to your course portal shortly after they take place, so you can catch up and review the material at your own pace.

How long are the live calls?

The seven live training calls will be approximately 90 minutes long.

Participating in these sessions live is recommended but not mandatory and they are recorded to allow you to watch at your convenience.

Will I be listed on the Block Therapy website as a Certified Block Therapy Instructor?

Yes! Once certified, you can send your bio and relevant contact information to be included in the Instructor & Practitioner locator map on BlockTherapy.com, helping potential clients find you.

Is this course taught exclusively by Deanna Hansen?

All pre-recorded modules and monthly Q&A calls are led by Deanna Hansen.

The live training calls are led by Quinn Castelane and Kata Varhelyi.

What is the difference between the Instructor and the Bodyworker Certifications?

The Instructor Certification prepares you to teach and guide others in practicing Block Therapy through classes, workshops, or one-on-one instruction. The Bodyworker Certification is designed for bodywork practitioners and focuses on applying the hands-on work with clients in a therapeutic setting.

The Instructor Certification is open to anyone, while the Bodyworker Certification is limited to licensed hands-on practitioners who hold a current professional license.

Both certifications are grounded in the same foundational principles of fascia decompression, but each prepares you for a distinct role in how the work is applied and shared.

Can I complete my certification before the live training classes of my cohort begin?

No, you must wait to submit your evaluation after the 3 months of live training has completed.

What kind of support will I receive during the course?

Along with five pre-recorded modules, the program offers seven live training classes, a private BTA community group, and monthly Q&A calls with Deanna Hansen for guidance and ongoing support.

I already have a membership subscription, when will the 2 years of complimentary membership start?

You can activate your 2-year complimentary membership, after your current active membership subscription expires.

I already have a Starter Program and Blocks. Can I get a discount on the Instructor Training?

Unfortunately, we can’t offer a discount on this training. The new Blocks you will receive can be used as student Blocks during your student teaching or re-sold to one of your students.
