Cellular Alignment Is The Key To Strengthening Your Body In The Healthiest, Most Aesthetic Way

Understanding your posture and building A strong foundation is one of the most important factors in maintaining proper alignment, preventing issues from recurring, and to take on daily challenges. Any sport, activity or style of training you love, you first need this approach to integrate into your life.

There are literally thousands of fitness program on the market today. It can be extremely challenging to choose which one will be most ideal for you. You will likely will choose the most popular program or the athlete/trainer that you have been following for an extensive period of time. None of this is wrong, however it all comes down to your approach and awareness of your alignment, breath and the health of your tissue.

One of the biggest factors of poor posture is technology. Just look at how you are sitting or standing right now. Where is your head aligned… how about your shoulders…. now your ribcage… is your ribcage collapsed into your core? Where are you breathing from… your chest or your belly? Is your pelvis in alignment? You are most likely tilting your pelvis too far forward or in the opposite direction. This affects everything. And I can go on… and I do! But not quite yet. To finish my point, technology is the culprit to poor posture.

Now let’s say you’ve been sitting and standing like this for hours each day. Hold on, it’s time to go to your fitness class or your workout. Now you are training from a base foundation of poor alignment. If you are starting from incorrect posture, you are only adding more compression to your fascia and your muscles. This will literally strengthen your body further out of alignment.

Sounds frustrating doesn’t it.

Well, I was there…

I would get out of the gym feeling great from the endorphins being released and the blood rushing through my veins. 

I even took this to the extent where I competed multiple times over years and ended up on a National stage... completely natural.

Let me mention... this should NOT be your goal. People do not approach this from the perspective of health. You really have to understand your body to achieve this level while still maintaining proper health. 

However, after weeks, months or years of doing this regularly, I started to feel off.

Pain started to surface, my posture was horrendous, I had to constantly crack my back and neck, move my body in weird direction trying to stretch it out or get on my foam roller that didn’t serve me well.

Sound familiar?

So... now what?

Many will see professionals and spends hundreds if not thousands of dollars per month on treatments. Something you have to continually go to in order to get relief. If that doesn’t work… the next step is surgery, which will inevitably create more scar tissue in the injured area.

Even if you are suffering with a herniated disk, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome - any pain really, understand that the body has the innate ability to heal and bring the body back to where it needs to be.

You just need to understand the correct process.

No matter your age, gender, or condition, it is never too late. Let me repeat that.

No matter what you’re doing, if its going to the gym, a fitness class, yoga, sports, picking up your laundry or doing yard work, you need to align your body correctly. 

Before getting to this phase...

...we need to understand the fascia system and how to release it.

Fascia is our connective tissue holding all structures in the body together - this system literally connects every cell in our body. Due to poor posture, injury and surgery, the fascia can hold the body out of alignment with a force of up to 2000lbs/square inch. The fascia is responsible for nearly all issues in the body - especially pain, posture and performance.

You may be wondering… “Get to the point… how do I release my fascia and bring my body into proper alignment?”

This is what Block Therapy does. It is a self care body work practice that releases the fascia system, oxygenates your cells and tissue, and brings awareness to your posture and alignment. You lay on our tool, the Block Buddy, for a minimum of 3 minutes in each position with instruction of proper diaphragmatic breathing to release the compression and scar tissue in the body which has been manipulating the biomechanics of the body. 

By doing Block Therapy, you will:

  • Release your fascia throughout your entire body
  • Manage and eliminate your pain
  • Understand where you need to be aligned and how to strengthen your posture 
  • Create symmetry in your body
  • Unlock your diaphragm to optimize your breath (extremely important) 
  • How to position and align your self for working out, sports and any daily activity
  • Prevent injuries

In order to follow “Phase 1 of the Block for Fitness Program - Rebuilding Your Postural Foundations”...

...everyone needs to go through the Block Therapy Starter Program. This is essential so you can release the fascia throughout the entire body. We never want to jump into any form of exercise or fitness if you haven’t released the fascia and learned how to breath through your diaphragm.

Once you have completed the Starter Program (9 Day Full Body Fascia Program), you are ready to jump in. You will have a 14 day trial to see if this is what you want to pursue. (most people do)

Here is a brief description of what is included in Phase 1 of the Block for Fitness program.

  • There are 24 exercises both beginner and advanced (so technically 48)
  • You will first test out the exercise or movement to feel your restriction, lack of mobility, areas of cramping or weakness
  • You will then follow the suggested Block Therapy class to release this area (30 minutes in duration)
  • Once you have completed the class, you will then revisit the exercise and follow the workout below
  • Each day will build off of each other and every workout is different
