The Unbound Method

A Yoga & Fascia Release Program

Move Freely, Feel More Open, and Practice with Ease

The secret to a deeper practice lies in your fascia

Yoga asks your body to hold a shape. But posture, stress, and daily movement patterns can leave fascia, your body's connective tissue, feeling tight and restricted, so a pose only stretches around that restriction instead of through it.

BENEFITS

What you'll gain from The Unbound Method

  • Encourages deeper, more lasting flexibility than a quick stretch alone
  • Helps you explore the spots that usually stay guarded, no matter how much you stretch
  • Supports carrying less tension in your body, day to day
  • Promotes ease of movement in the postures you already practice
  • A yoga practice that finally feels like it's working with your body, not around it

What Participants Are Saying About
The Unbound Method

When I experienced The Unbound Method with Deanna Hansen and Stacy McCarthy, it was the first time in years of practicing yoga that I was able to feel exactly where my body was holding restriction, and within minutes, that release was profound. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, you'll experience your poses on a whole new level.

Dr. Marlene Siegel

After just one session with Deanna and Stacy, I noticed an immediate increase in range of motion, deeper and more expansive breathing, and an overall sense of openness throughout my body. The combination of Block Therapy and yoga felt like a brilliant synergy, creating more flow, ease, and connection throughout my whole system.

Dr. Cathleen King, Primal Trust

I've tried yoga many times over the years, and it never felt like something I could do safely on my own; I'd usually end up hurt. With The Unbound Method, Deanna and Stacy used block work to help the body settle and prepare before moving into any yoga postures, and the difference was incredible. The practice felt enjoyable, supportive, and safe from the very first session, and I felt more fluid than I have in years. Highly recommended.

Arturo Gaitan

By working with your fascia in this practice, you can:

Support more natural movement patterns

Encourage greater ease and range of motion

Feel more open and connected in your body

Bring a new sense of flow to postures you already know

Move More Freely

A practice that feels effortless starts with a body that isn't fighting itself. When certain areas feel tight or restricted, a pose can feel harder than it should.

In these classes, you'll learn how to work with that restriction directly, restoring a sense of ease and openness. Paired with the postures you already know, you'll move with more freedom and consistency.

Feel The Difference

Discomfort is information, not something to push through. This practice helps you work with your body's signals directly, so you can move toward more ease, not just around it.

Through guided technique and intentional breath, you'll build a practice that supports comfort and helps you enjoy movement again.

Practice With Ease

A grounded, open practice starts with good posture, breath, and mobility, and this program brings it together.

By working with tension and improving movement, you'll build strength, flexibility, and ease. You'll move freely, breathe fully, and bring that same openness into every posture.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW MUCH TIME WILL I NEED TO DEDICATE EACH DAY?

The first nine classes in the “Foundation” section are 15-22 minutes each. The final seven classes in the “Integration” section are around 30 minutes each.

HOW LONG WILL THE PROGRAM TAKE TO COMPLETE?

You have lifetime access to all 17 classes, work through them at your own pace and repeat any class as often as you'd like.

DO I NEED TO OWN A BLOCK ALREADY?

There is also an option to purchase the program with or without a block. If you don’t own a block already, you can use a rolled up towel.

DO I NEED THE BLOCK FOR EVERY CLASS?

You do not need a block for every class, a rolled up towel will work effectively. If you’d like to take the practice deeper, a block is the perfect tool to get you there.

HOW WILL THIS IMPACT MY CURRENT YOGA PRACTICE?

This program is designed to complement any yoga practice you already have.

CAN I DO THE SAME CLASS MORE THAN ONCE?

Absolutely, and many practitioners do. Repetition is where this work deepens. Your body responds differently each time depending on how you're carrying tension that day, so returning to a class you've already done is never wasted time.

DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE CLASSES IN ORDER?

For your first time through, yes, and here's why it matters. The 17 classes are organized in two parts. Part I moves through three standing categories, each one built on a different foundation: feet parallel, then heel-to-arch, then heel-to-heel. Each category asks your body to organize around a new kind of alignment before the next one builds on it. Part II then brings that same decompression work to the floor, into forward folds, twists, and a backbend.

If you jump around before your body has a reference point for each foundation, you'll miss the sense of comparison that makes the later classes click. Once you've been
