The world is waking up to the importance of making your fascia system healthy.

Why is it important to learn about the fascia system and care for it?


When it comes down to health, the fascia system is in control of pretty well everything... let me explain.

Fascia is the connective tissue that hold every one of our cells together. Due to surgery, injury and unconscious posture & breathing, restriction in our body form and adhere to anything in the way - including bone. These adhesions will pull the body out of alignment blocking cells from blood and oxygen flow, resulting in: 

  • Pain - eventually chronic
  • Inflammation and stagnancy of flow
  • Size gain
  • Energy loss
  • Loss of mobility and freedom of movement
  • Poor posture
  • Compromised efficiency of your systems
  • The list goes on...

What makes it so hard for people to gain control of their fascia system comes down to not having the correct tools to release the fascia and a lack of knowledge and understanding of how to use the tools correctly. 


Fascia can hold the body out of alignment with a force of up to 2000lbs per square inch. Stretching, massage and rolling are only scraping the surface of what is actually going on underneath.

Block Therapy

focuses on releasing the fascia all the way to the bone - where issues are stored. We do not use force - we need to persuade the tissue to release. Forceful actions can cause tearing of the tissue. This results in injury - and consequently can cause a build up of scar tissue.

"But it's just a block..."

We hear this all the time... and ultimately you're right, it is a block made from bamboo!

  • This is not only bamboo, it is your therapeutic tool made from bamboo. 
  • Bamboo and bone share a similar density. This enables us to melt and release fascial restrictions all the way to the bone - where majority of the causes to our issues are located.
  • Foam, plastic or other synthetic materials are not organic. Using these materials,  especially with their methodology, will only targets the surface layers of tissue.

How is Block Therapy different than any other fascia modalities?

It all comes down to persuasion vs force.

Block Therapy persuades your tissue to melt and release. Your bodyweight and gravity with the pressure on the Block combined with proper diaphragmatic breathing causes the fascia to release.

There are other fascia methods that are popular that come from a forceful intension. By doing so, you are tearing the fascia which creates injury. This ultimately will result in the build up of scar tissue.

What if I am unable to exercise?

Block Therapy does not require any skill or much energy expenditure. You are always in full control while you are doing Block Therapy. We instruct you how to use the Block safely - as one of ours rules is "your breath is your guide". A great feature with Block Therapy is that you will not sweat... unless that is your intention.

Block Therapy is a therapy, exercise and meditation all in one.

Is this a home program?

The beautiful thing with Block Therapy is that you can practice wherever and whenever you would like. This practice does not require a gym, studio or clinic to attend.

You can do this in the most comfortable areas at your home or ramp this up and perform in a studio. This is up to you.

We want to make sure all people can do Block Therapy... even if you are bed ridden. You can bring the Block with you wherever you go.
