This 12 week program at The University of Manitoba will focus on the Block Therapy Introductory Series which consists of:
The Block Therapy Core Workout
These classes focus on releasing compressed tissue in the belly and rib cage, granting deeper access to the diaphragm muscle. This work benefits all the systems in the body because better functioning of the diaphragm dramatically increases oxygenation to the cells and the abdominal organs. Heart and lungs receive improved blood and energy flow, allowing the body to function more efficiently as a whole.
The Block Therapy Legs Workout
These classes focus on melting compressed tissue in the pelvis and legs. This will improve circulation to the organs of reproduction and elimination, legs and the feet. This benefits muscle function, increases flexibility and improves the appearance of tissue. Great for cellulite and varicose veins!
The Block Therapy Head, Neck & Arms Workout
These classes focus on melting compressed tissue in the upper body, arms, neck and face. This improves muscle function, tissue appearance and realigns the head, taking off pressure from the upper back and neck. Increased circulation benefits all the structures in the area, including the brain, hair, eyes and thyroid gland and provides an improvement in the quality and appearance of the skin. This is a fantastic relief of neck and shoulder pain – especially for those who sit at a desk all day.

I have had back pain for so many years, I forget when it started. My kids are 15, 18, 20 and 22 and I can remember driving them one summer to mini-U and I couldn’t turn my head to shoulder check because it hurt so much ! My back was so sore, I was getting into the car like an old lady ! That was sort of the beginning of many years of visits to the chiro , physio. I have done hot yoga, I have run a few half marathons, I love doing physical activities but over the past few years, it has not been worth the pain after.
Now, I purchased a block buddy and video from you in October. I was doing well but unfortunately had a HUGE back incident, I think I lifted something heavy then I read a book and sat for a really long time ! So then I was a little discouraged, It really HURT to do the block therapy, but NOW I am back into it and LOVING it. Yesterday morning, I woke up really stiff and after doing the 1st section of the video I felt as if I had just returned from a successful physio appointment but better ! This morning I am feeling great after doing the 36 minute online book. Thankyou for giving me back control over my own health by becoming a more conscious breather !
