Fascia and Gum Health
The Foundation: My Dental History
I've always had issues with my teeth. As a young girl, my protruding front teeth gave me a quirky, "Bugs Bunny" smile. Before I could get braces, I broke one of my front teeth at age 9, resulting in a lifelong cap that never fit quite right and caused a lot of wearing of my bottom teeth.
I also had a primary tooth that came out on its own. An X-ray revealed the secondary tooth sitting above the bone. After getting braces, I underwent a surgery where doctors cut through the roof of my mouth, drilled through bone, and placed a hook on the tooth so my braces could gradually pull it down…that was fun!
Stress and Deterioration
In my late teens, as my life spiralled out of control, I developed severe TMJ. The habitual clenching became so forceful I couldn't open my jaw, eventually breaking a molar.
In my thirties, three wisdom teeth emerged. Against recommendations, I kept them all. The fourth wisdom tooth began emerging three years ago—a painful process as this massive tooth pierced through 50-year-old gums.
Despite knowing better, I approached dental care too aggressively over the years. I brushed forcefully and obsessively used wooden picks to keep my teeth white, taking a serious toll on my gums.
The Turning Point
A few years ago, I noticed my gums receding. Despite making changes and manually working with my hands on my face, the recession continued. My teeth began shifting closer together, their color changed, and I became self-conscious about smiling. My gums were sore, my teeth looked stressed, and I could feel the space between gum and tooth exposing the bone beneath.
The Breakthrough: Changing My Perspective
I had a revelation: stop calling them "receding gums." My fascia had simply migrated—I just hadn't focused on the appropriate cause sites.
Once I addressed the areas necessary to guide the fascia back to proper alignment, the results were remarkable. I am thrilled to say that within just 10 days of 20-minute daily sessions, my gums improved by 50%. After three weeks, my teeth had shifted back to better alignment, looked cleaner and whiter, and the lines around my mouth had improved.
Even my cheeks lifted and filled out, making me smile confidently again without any concern of the signs of aging making me feel self-conscious.
There have been other exciting improvements as well; most notably, my vision has improved.

I will be in Hawaii for the last class. So it will be 5am when it’s held. Way before my wake up time :-). Can I do that last class from the recording we get to keep? Thank you.
I have TMJ as a result some teeth have CURVED to the right over many years. I can’t see how this will actually mix the curve ‘ ( ‘ -like teeth. I can see changing alignment and migrating back to to original but tooth would still be ‘curved and would need to be filled or have braces if even that works.
Am I wrong in assuming this Deanna.
Thanks in advance for a response.
