Week 13 of the 90 Day Trauma Relief Program

Moving into the final week of the Trauma Relief Program, I am delighted with the sharing by those in the community, the shifts and awakenings that so many have encountered, and I am most grateful for the additional speakers and their teachings. This has given the program so many layers of depth and understanding for all of us to be able to move through the past in a kind and impactful way, and to give the present moment a sense of clarity and alignment.

This week, the intention is to own your new space with strength and power. Now that you have let go of past patterns and associated behaviours, it’s time to cement in the new you with a week that is a little more active on the Block, and that deeply connects you to your center.

The psoas muscle, known as the muscle of the soul, is the only muscle that connects the upper and lower body together. It is located on either side of the lumbar vertebrae, and moves through the pelvis, connecting to the femur (upper leg bone), and attaches to the diaphragm. When there is imbalance in your center, this muscle influences everything in the body. It is the deepest muscle in the core, so imbalance will affect everything in this space.

Cementing the body in correct alignment comes through properly strengthening this area. Planks are great if done correctly, as are twists if done from a place of conscious awareness so to bring symmetry into action. This week will focus on creating this for you, so you can move forward with confidence and control.

In addition, we will be highlighting two new speakers. Sabrina Fritts is one of our Block Therapists. She works with clients who have undergone traumatic experiences and has so many incredible and motivating things to share. Also, we will be sharing an interview with Tammy Kohlschmidt. She has an amazing program for women – The 8 Secrets to Optimal Breast Health.

Tammy also does thermography: a procedure in which a heat-sensing infrared camera is used to record the surface heat produced by different parts of the body. Tammy did a thermography screen on a client, then again 2 months after. In this time period, the client started Block Therapy.

The red and white areas indicate inflammation in the body and show where there is stagnancy and congestion. In the before photo, you can see how the area above and below the diaphragm have a lot of inflammation. For those of you who breathe through the muscles of the upper chest, this will be a common scenario. Tammy mentioned she has never seen this kind of change in all her years of taking these images.

I wanted to share this with you to give you the confidence that you are making deep, internal changes to your body. The last 12 weeks of the program will have created many changes already, but this week’s core focus will surely provide a ton of opportunity to release even deeper adhesions that are creating stagnation, and to improve the flow deep within. It will be a wonderful way to end the program, so you can move forward with living your present, and loving your future.

I feel truly blessed to be part of this community. The deep level of love and respect that are shared so freely warms my heart and soul. It’s a new year and I am looking forward to it being the best one yet!

Breathe & Believe,

Deanna
